About Us

Our Story

The story of We Have Come This Far By Faith “Angels With Special Needs” began with twelve severely disabled children youth who’s parents desire to have their children involved in a program that would provide recreational and socialization activities with others especially during summer vacation, holidays, and weekends like children without disabilities enjoy.

To facilitate their desire and provide for an unmet need in their community the parents and a group of like minded individuals came together in 2004, and started it’s first three week summer day camp and activities program free of any charges to the families which has continued forward since with increased participation which has evolved into a non profit organization for children with severe disabilities.

We Have Come This Far By Faith “Angels With Special Needs” is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to enrich and enhance the quality of life for youth and young adult with severe disabilities.

The Reason We Are Here

Imagine a child whose severe disability or multiple disabilities prevents them from enjoying their life, from doing the things so many of us take for granted. Imagine a person whose daily routine excludes their ability to walk, talk, or care for themselves. Imagine a family who would do anything to ease their family member pain and struggle, to make their life enriched with fullness and happiness, to contribute holistically contribute to their fullness and equality of life. Angels With Special Needs Organization exists today to make a difference in the life of those angels who have been sent to us from above youth and young with severe disabilities. However, since 2004, in an effort to benefit and provide our services to the masses of (ages 15-30) severely disabled youthand young adults in our geographic region we are focusing on providing  inclusion to inclusive recreational and socialization opportunities and a respite program for the parents and caregivers.

To provide the opportunities for needed programs and services we are consulting with the Richland/Lexington County Special Needs Disability Board, and ARCH-National Resource Center for Respite Services attempting established a partnership to facilitate our/their programs and services in the communities. While we advocate for the inclusion of all the disabled persons however, we are dedicated to helping provide programs and services that will improve, enrich, and enhance the quality of life of severely disabled youth and young adults in the State of South Carolina.
